Worcester County Food Bank Appoints Matt Ward to Board of Directors
Shrewsbury, MA The Worcester County Food Bank has appointed Matt Ward of Gardner to its Board of Directors in an announcement made during the non-profit organization’s March board meeting. Ward is president and CEO of web design and integrated marketing services provider, InConcert Web Solutions.
“I’m proud to be a part of this amazing organization,” said Ward. “They’re working hard to help feed hungry people in Central Massachusetts, where there’s been a growing need due to the economic challenges communities face across the region.”
The Worcester County Food Bank collects, inspects, and stores donated food and other grocery products for distribution through a network of almost 150 partner agencies to help feed hungry individuals and families living in 60 cities and towns throughout Central Massachusetts. The Food Bank also offers nutrition education and food safety information and serves as an advocate for agencies providing hunger relief services. The non-profit operates out of a 37,000 square foot facility in Shrewsbury.
